Although it's a class 1 misdemeanor in NC, there are no actual damages.  I doubt they will charge her with battery or assault here since she took the sign out of his hand there was no actual bodily contact or injury.  The sign looks like it's made of cardboard.  The most this would cost her is $150.  I would pay that to prove my point.

Indeed it does.  Are you not aware that it also falls within the construct of Leninism, Stalinism, Maoism, COMMUNISM, Marxism, even Gramscism and some of the harder flavors of socialism?  



Actually the practice of forcibly suppressing opposing views falls within the construct of every totalitarian system you can name.  Why would you not call it by one that is consistent with the political leaning of the actor you criticize?



So my puzzlement has to do with your choice of "fascism" out of all the particular flowerings of totalitarianism to use here.  It's puzzling of course, because the woman is evidently a leftist and fascists are not leftists. You and others are using the word wrongly.



I suspect that this practice of rhetorically equating totalitarian suppression of expression with fascism has the actual purpose of diluting that f-word so that it no longer can be used reliably to describe the actual instances of fascism that you live with and even praise, you fascist.
