Quote from: "Bricktop"What do you hunt with an AR 15?

Birds, hare.. The small game.

.223 cal is popular bird hunting caliber.

Small projectile, high velocity.. It goes through without causing too much damage.

Semi-auto, bolt-action etc. rifles go into the hunting/sports category.

But full-autos go into a different category.

You can have one as a private citizen but it is not as easy as getting a semi-auto.

There is no "total ban" for anything..

Everything is legal if you can explain the need.

I wonder how long that would last if Finland experienced a mass shooting incident. Hypothesis only, as Finland is a relatively stable, calm, sensible  and placid society.

That's how it works in Canada too.

Finland had three mass shootings between 2008 and 2013.

Was she in the talking phase or did she have weapons to carry it out?

I remember she had acquired a weapon..

Making detailed plans is also illegal..

It is a credible threat..

Merely saying that you are gonna kill people isnt enough for arrest.

Acquiring a weapon and a plan is grounds for arrest anywhere.

I suspect that is changing.

Governments cannot afford the risk of shrugging and saying "It's OK, it's just an empty threat", any more than you can say "It's OK, it's not a real gun" when one is pointing at you.
