It could reduce large domestic incidents, while at the same time let's remember that  most killings are local gangs in the inner cities using mainly and illegally obtained smaller guns. Americans love their guns. Nothing wrong with that as long as they do proper background checks. Rural Manitobans love their high powered firearms too. It's part of the culture there as it is in the states.
