I saw yet another First Nations demo/whine fest in Saskatoon last year I believe. Lots of people with bandanas covering their mugs.

Quote from: "RW"The Criminal Code is Canada wide so it would apply in Manitoba :)

Wrong again, Criminal Code is provincial unless it's a FED charge..   :MG_216:

Legislation is different in each province

Wrong.

"The criminal law of Canada is under the exclusive legislative jurisdiction of the Canadian federal government. The power to enact criminal law is derived from section 91(27) of the Constitution Act, 1867."

Again, try being correct.

Nice try

You lefties are to much

Angry White Male

RW is actually correct this time...  The Criminal Code of Canada is Federal, as the name implies, and is to be applied equally to all Provinces.

Provinces are free to adopt their own rules, but these would not be enforced under the CCC.  They would be enforced by lesser entities, like the Liquor Control Act of Wherever, the Motor Vehicle Act of Wherever, etc...

Federal law does trump provicial. But, I know enforcement is on a case by case basis.

Angry White Male

Not really.

Federal (Canadian Criminal Code) sets the bar...

You do one thing here, the same punishment will happen there.  It's equal across the board.

Only lesser matters change, like municipal bylaw acts, liquor and tobacco acts, etc...  can raise the bar.

Just like why you can drink in a few Provinces at 18, while most are 19.  Criminal Code sets the bar at 18.  Provincial Liquor Act can, and will, raise that to 19.  Nonetheless, you cannot be charged with a Criminal Code crime if you're 18, possessing liquor in a 19 Province.  It would be municipal tickets and the such...

I normally can't stand Nancy Pelosi but I have to give her big kudos here for her words on Antifa--

QuoteShe was tough on crime, calling for the (antifa) perpetrators "to be arrested and persecuted." She denounced violence "no matter the ideology of those who commit such acts." And most importantly, she appealed to permanent principle, specifically the "right to peaceful dissent and free speech."

In spite of the media's Charlottesville cover up. The truth is coming out about antifa, and now much of the left are cutting their losses and throwing them under the bus.  That's okay though, that's where they belong.

By the way, the media owes Trump a big apology, He was exactly right,  it really WAS multiple sides at Charlotte that were at fault, the media are liars, and they were wrong as usual.

Agreeing with Trump on the point about both sides being violence got me called a "racist".  Speaking out against the hate speech got me called a "traitor".

Same idiots.  Different piles.

The police knew a violent counter protest was likely and did not do enough to prevent it..

I blame senior Charlottesville police.

It would not surprise me if the Charolottesville mayor, or as the ACLU claims, Virginia Governor terry Mccauliff, who is one of the most corrupt politicaions around,  told the police to stand down.  Just like the Berkeley mayor did at the Milo event.  I think they knew antifa and black lives matter were going to attack people.  They wanted them to. And they wanted them to get away with it.

But, until it's proven either of those two ordered the police not to do their job, I blame the chief of police.

Possession and drinking age are not covered by the Criminal Code - only driving while impaired is.  The Criminal Code makes no mention of legal drinking age.

I say McCauliff is the one who allowed the violence.

But, this story has gotten far too much press. It's not an important issue.

Quote from: "RW"Haters seem to be consistently outnumbered.  Take the hint!

"2 arrested at anti-Islam rally in London, Ont. Counter-protesters in front of City Hall outnumber PEGIDA backers about 10 to 1"

As of Saturday afternoon, no charges had been laid. The standoff lasted about two hours, until PEGIDA supporters left."

So who are the haters?

The ones who protested peacefully or the ones that got in their faces?

It's always the leftards as God is my witness. Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn.  :laugh3:
