Up until several minutes ago, I'd listened to only one song by Fugazi. This is actually a live video, however, the live audio has been replaced with the studio audio. Anyway, this one song kinda grew on me:

Amen.

Wikipedia describes them as "post-hardcore", formosa.  It goes on to define it as:

"Post-hardcore is a punk rock music genre that maintains the aggression and intensity of hardcore punk but emphasizes a greater degree of creative expression. ..."

Taxxi was formed 1979 in London. Looks like they hung up their cleats in 1987. I haven't listened to much of their stuff, but one song I heard years ago on MTV stuck with me:

Amen.
Deo vindice

I was thinking of the sitcom with Danny Devito and Marilu Henner, not a band.

Cyndi Lauper certainly needs no introduction, though she is rarely on my playlists.  But when she is, it's nearly always the same song. Released in March of 1984, Time After Time is exceptional:

You know how smartass teenage boys are...always making fun of things. I liked some of their stuff. Hell, I even liked some of Madona's stuff back then. We still made fun of her hairy armpits tho!  :crampe:
