It is not sausage gravy really. It is gravy over cut up sausage or gravy that was made over sausage.

Today I will make something of my own concoction meaning I will not be reading a recipe. Just making it from what I've got available. In my kitchen there will always be mushrooms and parsley for garnish. Then I like to add whatever spirits I might have around. In this case I'll add Marsala.

This photo shows button mushrooms but for my dish, I like a blend of wild mushrooms. My store carries that.

Instead of rice, I made farro. Something different for a change.

In this case...Cook the sausage like ground hamburger, crumbled. Remove from skillet and heavily blot the sausage to remove grease. Add butter to the skillet and put sausage back in. Sprinkle flour to cover the sausage stir, add milk and stir, may have to add more flour if too runny or milk if too thick.

1 lb sausage

approx 1/3 - 1/2 cup flour

1 to 1-1/2 cups milk.

half stick of butter

I've seen it at buffets in Las Vegas and Houston. No fucking way was I going to try it.

It sounds as unhealthy as it looks kiebers.

But it is sooooo good. LOL

I doubt I would like it.


I always tell my children to try it first before they declare they don't like it. I can tell you the many times I did not like the appearance of a certain dish but loved it once I tried it. I don't like gravy on my biscuit though. I don't like my breads runny with anything on it that makes them wet.

I think you and I have similar palates Azhya.

I also put celery, carrots, spring onions, ginger, garlic and button mushrooms in it.

I dont blame you though, turkey leftovers are awesome after thanksgiving.



Im having soup tonight too.
I've come here to chew bubble gum, and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.

Today is a stat holiday, so meatless Monday falls on a Tuesday.

No, ours comes around in a month and a half. I'll just be picking up some ground turkey. I like the turkey instead of hamburger cause its leaner and better for you.

Thats right you dont like Mexican. I LOVE tacos, or Mexican. I love Asian too. Italian is ok, but Im not big on it.
