Common or garden variety seagull, demonstrating the awesomeness that is the Olympus OMD EM1 Mark II

Amazing sharpness and clarity.

Quote from: "Bricktop"The masked lapwing is a vicious brute. Here's one rising up to repel a passing seagull...because it can.

If you look close, you may see the spurs on its wing joint (about half way along the outstretched wing). This spur will cause significant damage to other birds in the air, which is why they tend to leg it if the lapwing heads their way.

Nasty bird all round, really.

It's only been in the last few years that bobcats have started coming into the city and even giving birth to kittens here..

The slightly larger lynx is still shy of human contact....they are usually further north anyway..

There was a cougar removed from the city a couple of years ago.

Well hunger drives them in I guess but really, humans moved to their territories... Humans aren't nomads these days. They find a house and live in it 365 days a year. ... In the old days in your area, everything moved south for the winter.
