Sure you shared your opinion of dsm but you also told us we should "reset" our opinions of him, which is a directive.  I have to admit, like Shen, the first word I also thought of was arrogant.  I felt like you figured if you shared your opinion of him that would in some way enlighten us into thinking differently.  I know you better than that, so I left that word on the cutting room floor.



The thing is reel, if dsm wants us to think of him differently, he needs to act differently.  I'm not sure he wants to put in that effort any more than we are interested in him trying.  C'est la vie.



As for me, I've had better Decembers and I've had worse :). I ho ho hope everything is going swimmingly on your end :)

Firstly, who are you to tell US what where when and how this place should do? You drift in every so often...



Why not stay awhile and contribute some of that prodigious, if not somewhat occasionally misdirected, intellect of yours, rather than taking up the baton for someone who has, in fact, been treated rather well all things taken into consideration.



You are clearly unaware that I have met him in another forum, where the general conduct was, to say the least, incompatible with the aims of this place. True, when he signed up, he was treated warily...but then received a full and sincere apology for the rather intemperate treatment, whereupon he said thanks, but no thanks and fucked off back to Van. He was not railroaded.



However, I'm not so convinced that my initial concern that he was not beneficial to this forum was as awry as I may have believed.

 I didn't simply annoy people. I was ip perma banned everywhere, had my own "bio", and destroyed a few places.  The things we do when we are depressed and have too much spare time lol. To this day I have some serious haters.
